|Whereas the monument on top of Cnoc Fyrish is well known and well frequented, there are 2 other monuments on nearby hills of similar antiquity which can be visited in a single trip. Parking:- entering Evanton from the Inverness direction, we meet in the small car park on the right hand side of the road, opposite the co-op. (If this car park is full, you can park on the wide street on the left, just past the Co-op - but leave the layby by the shop entrance clear for customers). We pass through woodland to the Black Rock Gorge footbridge, then after a short stretch of road walking follow track to the first monument on Meann Cnoc. The second monument on Creag Ruadh is reached by a good path, after which we reach Cnoc Fyrish approaching from the west, again on track. The return journey is on track, largely retracing the outward journey, with an alternative loop as we approach Evanton.|
