Walk Description
The walk starts from the corner of the Kingussie car park, just behind the Duke of Gordon Hotel, off Gynack Road, passing quickly out of Kingussie and into woods. It climbs through these into open country, becoming steeper and climbing continuously to the top of Creag Bheag – the views are excellent. Continuing north eastwards the route descends steeply, almost to the shore of Loch Gynack before swinging east to Gynack Burn, which is followed past the golf course back to the car park. Not a long walk (though with a noticeable climb to Creag Bheag and a descent that’s tricky when slippery), but one to take with pauses to admire the views, which are impressive for the size of the hill.
