Walk Description
Parking at the start of a forestry track, we walk for about 5mins in an NE direction where we reach a path on the right. On rough ground, following a burn we climb over a low fence to join zigzags. When this path eventually becomes indistinct we follow the line of the grouse butts to the soggy bealach. Walking in a NNE direction going uphill onto Carn Eachie, the top of which is very wet. We could by-pass this cairn. The route becomes drier as we eventually reach the summit and the trig point of Carn a Ghillie Chearr. On a clear day there are splendid views. Reindeer can also be seen, maybe even eagles. Return is by outward route. This walk can be extended if so wished, depending on weather conditions.
