Walk Description
Strenuous lovely long circular walk in remote Kintail. Route commences at Innis a'Chrotha (parking is very limited) on good footpaths. Gradually ascending into Gleann Choinneachainand eventually to first river crossing prior to zig zagging steeply between A'Glasbheinn and Beinn Fhada to Bealach an Sgairne, the highest point. The descent is by the south east end of Loch a'Bhealaich into boggy Gleann Griomhaidh to the second river crossing. Route continues easily up Fionnglean past Camban Bothy ascending to spectacular waterfalls. A rocky descent through the spectacular Allt Grannada Gorge then curves down to ground level into Gleann Licht and Glenlicht House. Final few miles follows winding land rover tracks by River Croe returning to start point. Pace will be steady but enjoyable! For this remote walk please ensure you have adequate high energy foods, fluids, sun cream, midge repellent and clothing for all weather conditions. A change of footwear for river crossings advisable.
